Will Reagan is a Christian singer/songwriter based in Knoxville, Tennessee. With his quiet acoustic guitar picking and plaintive voice, his worship songs are largely folk-driven. In 2006, he and several other like-minded songwriters and players formed a musical collective called United Pursuit. The group members perform each other’s songs and release independent albums under the collective’s umbrella. Reagan released his solo debut, Beginning to Love You, in 2006 followed by 2009’s In the Night Season, which was credited to Will Reagan & United Pursuit. His next two albums, Live at the Banks House (2010) and Endless Years (2012), were also made with the collective. The group’s second live album, 2015’s Simple Gospel, earned a high spot on Billboard’s Christian chart, and Tell All My Friends followed in early 2017. The Neverclaim/Radiate Records album “Encounter” on WorshipTeam

Acclaimed pop/rock/worship band The Neverclaim releases its first full-length live worship album, Encounter: A Live Worship Experience, Sept. 30 from Radiate Music. Recorded live at the Franklin, TN-based Vineyard Church just outside of Nashville, the album was produced by the band’s Jeremiah Carlson (lead vocals), Mitchell Maldonado (guitar/keys), Chuck Hill (bass) and Beji George (drums), and expresses the band’s story of being broken people who are now a testimony to the extravagant love, grace and goodness of God.

Encounter finds The Neverclaim reconnecting with their roots as a worship band and during a season where they are heavily investing into the local church. Carlson is the Young Adult Pastor at Vineyard Boise where Maldonado is Director of Media Production, George is at a Houston Vineyard church, and Hill is part of a Vineyard church plant in Bloomington, IL.

“Every story of hope in a desperate situation starts with an encounter with Jesus,” shares Carlson, underscoring the passion for this project. “He alone holds the power to break off chains of fear, shame, anxiety and depression. He alone can redefine who we truly were made to be. He can take all the brokenness from our past and turn it into something beautiful.”

Framing the overarching theme of the album, the anthemic title track gives worshippers language to call on God to intervene. “Through a simple encounter with Jesus, everything changes,” says Carlson. “No matter what kind of life people have lived when they encounter Jesus, they are wrecked for anything else but Him.”

The song “Testimony” on the album is the natural progression of an encounter with God, and is a collective shout of praise for Christ’s redeeming work, while “Through Christ,” first featured on The Neverclaim’s 2015 album, The Joy, comes from a very personal experience in Carlson’s story. Born out of an extramarital affair and sexually abused as a child, Carlson says he experienced anxiety, self-hatred and was suicidal. Planetshakers will also release a deluxe edition of the project that includes seven music videos from songs on the album, including a live version of the radio single “I Know Who You Are,” which is already receiving airplay in the U.S.

Elevation Worship is the group name given to a series of album releases related to the Elevation Church located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The church was formed by Pastor Steven Furtick in early 2006 with the first Elevation Worship release, Live Worship, following soon after. Two more albums, We Are Alive (2008) and Kingdom Come (2010) would arrive via the Essential Worship label. In 2011, they signed with the major-label Sony and released For the Honor that same year. The following year, they released two albums: Only King Forever almost broke the Billboard Top 20, while Wake Up the Wonder marked their first live performance in a large arena, going from a 1,000 member church audience to a 16,000 crowd. In 2016, Elevation had their greatest success yet, releasing another live album, Here As In Heaven, which debuted at the top of the Billboard Christian chart and broke into the Top 20. Recorded in July 2015 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, Here As In Heaven saw Elevation playing to a maximum capacity crowd of over 20,000 worshippers.
