New Song Usage Stats and Reports

WorshipTeam.com is constantly improving to include new user-requested functionality, along with our award-winning interface and licensed song database. Today, we launched a great new song stats interface, which allows you to generate custom reports for how your group, church or teams are using songs. This starts with nice easy, browseable statistics viewable from the main songs area. For example, when you are in the SONGS section, simply mouse-over the “…” trailer shown on each song listing. Now, in addition to the first segment lyrics appearing for the song, you see a “Last Used” date of the song, so you know how recently you used this song. This is shown below (where the user moused-over the “…” for the Paul Baloche song “Hosanna”).

You’ll note there is a tiny report icon next to the last used date as well. Clicking that icon will take you to a page that will show the instant history of that song and its usage in your group/teams.

But for song statistics to be truly helpful, you might want to know more extensive details on usage. To create a customized report of songs ranked by usage, use the “Actions” drop down menu in the main SONGS area and select the “Song Usage” icon, as below.

You will be given the ability to generate custom song usage reports for any reason. You can select your group/team filters, set a date range, and even output the results in various sort options, as below.

Once you click “Search” your report will be displayed, showing the songs, number of times used and the last date used in your report.

Each song name in this report can likewise be selected, and the user will see detailed statistics on that specific song within the report. The individual song statistics look like this:

Either the general multi-song usage report or the individual song statistics report can be printed if needed. We are very excited to add this new feature and hope you get a chance to try it out.

God Bless

NEW “Away Time” Feature

Worshipteam.com has many ways to schedule and manage events and people, but one thing that can help with proactively working on schedules and events is to have the ability for users to mark out away time, such as vacations, trips and other absences that they already know about. With the new “Away Time” feature, when a leader is planning an event or service, they can know during that planning if the person has already scheduled themselves to be away.

Using it is simple for each user. Just go to the CALENDAR section of the website workspace (once you have logged in) and select the “Enter Away Time” icon at the bottom of the calendar screen.

You will come to a screen that allows you to enter your away times.

Select the Start and End dates for the time you will be away.

Click the “Save” button and the away segment will be added to your list of away times.

You can add multiple more away time segments if you wish.

You are done! Now, when a leader attempts to schedule you, if the event is occurring on one of your “away” times, a special notification and color will indicate that you have previously listed yourself as unavailable.

NEW: Instant Capo Chord Charts

WorshipTeam.com allows you to instantly create Capo chord charts that are both accurate and synchronized with the audio of the original song. This feature has been available for a few months, but some haven’t known it, so we wanted to highlight this feature. Here is a quick example of how to create a Capo chord chart.

The song “Sweetly Broken” is a popular song (by Jeremy Riddle) that is recorded and commonly done in the key of B. Since “B” is not a guitar-friendly key, this can quickly be capoed to the key of A and rendered as a capo chord chart.

Step 1 – Unselect the “PITCH SHIFT AUDIO” checkbox on the left of the player control while displaying the song. This will ensure that the audio stays in the key of B while the chords are changed to a different key (for Capo playing).

Step 2 – Select the capoed key that you wish to play the song in. Selecting the key of A for Sweetly Broken will display the song in the new key without pitch-shifting the audio.

They chords are now in A for playing, while the audio is in B for listening.

Step 3 – Use the “Save As View” selection from the “Actions” menu. This will save the new view you have just created.

Step 4 – Verify the new view name. You will be prompted that the system recognizes that the audio and chords don’t match and it thinks you may be trying to create a capo chord chart. Select “OK” on this prompt to verify that this current view will be saved as a capo chord chart.

Step 5 – The view is saved, labeled and it is now usable to add to sets and access any time. Additionally, it has a special note tag at the top of the chord chart that explains how to position and play the capo chord chart.

Nice work! You just created your first Capo chord chart. Now that capo chord chart is accessible as a view of that song for you whenever you need it. You only have to create it once and it is accessible from then on.

Latest Vineyard Projects Loaded

We have finished adding all of the latest Vineyard Music songs into the Worshipteam.com system library. This includes albums from Jeremy Riddle (The New And Not Yet), Sheri Carr (Fearless Now), Chris Lizotte (Signal Hill Revival), Ryan Delmore (The Spirit, The Water and the Blood) as well as many other songs from ION Worship including albums from Steve Mitchenson, Sean Dayton, Michael Larson, David Ruis and Andy Park.

Worshipteam.com has been a partner of Vineyard Music USA, Vineyard Records UK and ION Worship (Canada Vineyard) for some time and is pleased to continue to include and offer all their catalog of songs in our service.

New Set Builder/Planner Goes live

We just added a new, drag and drop, user friendly set builder. When you click to edit a set now, you will see your songs and items in your set. Each song listing (or field of information) will be editable by simply double-clicking into the information you wish to change. If you want to change the order of a song list, simply grab the item (with your cursor) you want to move and drag it to the position in the list you wish it to appear. Then drop it. It is that simple. This is an example of a user moving a comment (about taking a break) inside of the set.

The set builder is very powerful. You can now add instant items such as songs, comments, and notes. You can add details to any item, and specify flow information in details and notes, even specifying if you have specific people doing specific songs. The layout is drag and drop and very quick to edit any field.

In fact, if you are just throwing together a set for an ad hoc event, you can even put this event on the calendar right here on the set builder, but clicking “Add to Calendar” where you can chose to select a previously configured event or simply select a date and one will be auto-created for you.

Try it out!

Hillsongs Added

We just finished adding hundreds of songs from popular worship publisher Hillsong Australia. This includes their ENTIRE catalog of songs, with lyrics, chord charts and full length original audio from their recordings. Of course, like all songs in Worshipteam.com, you can change keys, make custom versions, make capo chord charts, and change arrangements at will.

These are now published live in our catalog for you to use when you plan your worship in Worshipteam.com. This includes songs like

  • Mighty To Save
  • Hosanna
  • From The Inside Out
  • Everyday
  • Shout To The Lord
  • Came To My Rescue
  • Worthy is the Lamb
  • God Is Great
  • I Give You My Heart
  • and hundreds more from Hillsong…

Occasionally, people ask us if our service is legal, and we are glad they do! YES, we are completely LEGAL. We think it is very important to honor God in our lives, not just when we sing songs. As such, we go to publishers around the world and license legal use of their songs for use in our service- that way, you don’t have to worry about it! You subscription to Worshipteam.com includes all our song catalog at no extra cost. And you can view, print and listen to any song an unlimited number of times!

You get all the benefit of us having done all this work for you, and the songwriters are taken care of – in fact, we pay out fully 50% of all the revenue we bring in from your subscriptions as royalties to songwriters, artist and music companies.

Worshipteam.com is the only online worship planner that includes thousands of songs LEGALLY from many of the popular worship publishers. And don’t be fooled- your CCLI license does NOT cover using chord charts, audio or any other form of songs in an online tool like a planner. In fact, other sites and planners without licensing are hoping you won’t notice that using songs in their systems is illegal.

So when you use Worshipteam.com, you can put your mind at rest- we have done the licensing for all the songs included in the service (now over 4300 popular songs and growing!). You just enjoy saving time with Worshipteam.com and planning your worship, knowing you are operating legally.

New Event View

Worshipteam.com has exceptional tools for scheduling, calendaring and handling events in your ministry. Now the details of any event on your calendar are presented in an instant changeable view. The new event view looks like this:

You will notice that the new event view has “Add” buttons for people and sets (along with other features). In this new event view adding a participant is done quickly but clicking the “Add” button next to “Person”. This will bring up a list of people you can add such as:

All you do is select the person/skills that you wish to add to this event and click “Add” and they are added. You can remove a person by simply clicking the “X” that is marked to the right of their name.

Likewise, sets can also be added and removed (using the “Add” button or the “X” buttons).

Again, this is the simple event view allowing you to make quick changes to your event.

Another nice feature of the new event view screen is the quick “Notify” button. This allows you to send an instant reminder to anyone about the event.

Of course, you can still do the invitations to events where people can opt in/out of anything on the calendar (you do that when you use “Quick Event” or “Create Event”).

Worshipteam.com allows you to do any configuration of event management and invitation, depending on your needs.
