Thrive Worship/Integrity Music album “A Thousand More” on WorshipTeam

Thrive Worship has released “A Thousand More” through Integrity Music and all songs are now loaded into WorshipTeam.com “A Thousand More” is a recording of some great new songs.

“Every song on this album is telling a piece of a story from our church,” shares Corbin Phillips, one of the group’s founding leaders, along with Peter Burton and Charmaine Wells. “When you have a lot of people from different backgrounds, you get a lot of different influences in the music from Gospel to pop to congregational. It gives us a lot of space within the boundary lines to create outside of the typical church worship band.”

“We want to spread a message of hope,” Burton explains. “We want people to feel like they can come and be comfortable, no matter what state of life they’re in. Our hope is that these songs would be able to reach someone who’s really far from Christ or someone who’s been walking with Him for a long time.”

Along with their eight-campus weekly services, they also run the Thrive Worship School from their main location. Students from all over the world come to hone their talents and learn to lead in worship, with a goal to take them from talent to impact.

Additionally, their focus on leadership has organically spread into their own community, as many area worship pastors attend their Sunday night services. “Our founding pastor has always been a pastor to pastors,” shares Wells. “Because of that, we really love to minister to fellow leaders and build them up. They come here on Sunday nights to fill up their own well so they can go back out to their churches and minister to their people.”

The Sunday night service has been such an integral part in developing new songs for the church. In fact with these songs impacting not only the Sunday night service but their entire congregation, many ended up on A Thousand More.

For King & Country/Curb | Word album “A Drummer Boy Christmas” on WorshipTeam

For King & Country has released “A Drummer Boy Christmas” through Curb | Word and all songs are now loaded into WorshipTeam.com “A Drummer Boy Christmas” is a recording of some great new songs.

“It all started on a dreary winter’s night in our American hometown of Nashville, TN. It was the end of 2012, the year the band began. We piled ourselves into an old factory- cellos, brass, bass, guitars and of course, a load of drums. We began to frantically rehearse and prepare for an incumbent Christmas tour that we frankly, due to the fact that we’d yet to release a Christmas album or song, had no right to embark on. Yet, from that shotgun rehearsal (where we naively dreamt up our rendition of ‘Little Drummer Boy’) to today, the beauty, drama, and ultimately the miracle of Christmas has caught our musical imagination and therefore been laced into the DNA of the band.

With this as the backdrop, coupled with all we face socially, politically and ethically across the globe, we felt it was the imperfectly perfect time for us to do our small part in telling the story of the redemption that Jesus’ birth offers to you, and to me. So bake those chocolate chip cookies, make a little hot chocolate, strike up that cozy fire, and let us take you on a 44 minute and 49 second musical Christmas journey to celebrate the greatest story the world has ever known!”- Joel & Luke

Mark Alan Schoolmeesters -Common Hymnal single “Glory Hallelujah (Christmas)” on WorshipTeam

Mark Alan Schoolmeesters released “Glory Hallelujah” through Common Hymnal and the song is now loaded into WorshipTeam.com “Glory Hallelujah” is a recording of a great new song.

Glory Hallelujah was written by Mark Alan Schoolmeesters (US) and Gabriel Guedes (Brazil) on a Covid-style, cross-continental zoom writing camp at the beginning of lockdown, anticipating what Christmas would look like in a pandemic. The conclusion was that the awe and wonder would be unchanged. That our desperation for our circumstances to change was probably similar to the longing for a savior during the silent years leading up to the birth of Jesus.

The song is loaded and ready to use- just access your WorshipTeam.com system database.

The song is full featured with complete lyrics, chord charts and full length audio. Check out this great new song, hear it in the original key, or choose your own key and play it the way you like it.

WorshipTeam.com iOS App with PDF Display and “Music Perform” function – Sheet Music, Chord & Lyric Display

WorshipTeam.com announced an update to its iOS app today with a some nice extensions to its service.

iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch users now have a greatly enhanced app for use with their core WorshipTeam.com service.  The app includes the “Music Perform” function that allows users to launch any service (set) into a music stand usable mode. Your iPad becomes a digital music display for all the songs in your services/sets in WorshipTeam.com. Simply swiping the iPad moves to the next song. Additionally added is support for PDF sheet music display incorporated right into the Music Perform function. If you have any songs included in your service/set that you use sheet music PDFs for (instead of standard chord charts) those now display in crisp clarity inside your WorshipTeam.com app.

The app will display PDF sheet music wherever any song can be displayed, including the single song display area or a list or service collection.

For those who haven’t heard about the new “Music Perform” function in the WorshipTeam.com App, the goal of the “Music Perform” button is to allow you to have a simple, clean interface with all your songs (PDFs or chord charts) displayed allowing you to page through them, just like you would for a physical songbook on a music stand. Great for use on a stage, in a small group or at home practicing. Your service/set is ready to go without having to print anything off. Here is is how to try it out —

  • STEP 2:  Login and select the “Services” option to see your upcoming services.

  • STEP 3: Go to one of your upcoming services on your schedule and select the “Perform” button.

  • STEP 4: You will see the first song appear. Controls on the top right allow you to page through the songs. You can also use motion/swipe to move through the songs.

  • STEP 5: If you have loaded your own PDF sheet music into a song (view/version) it will display instead of the standard chord chart, as below.

  • STEP 6: For regular chord charts, formatting controls are at the bottom of the page if you would like different font and size properties. Note that you can turn chords on or off, depending on your needs (vocalists often only want lyrics displayed for example).

The music perform function works great on iPads used as music stands (as can be done easily by mounts like iKlip (http://www.ikmultimedia.com/iklip/features/), GigEasy (http://www.thegigeasy.com/) or Griffin iPad music stand mounts (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/mic-stand-mount).

The music perform function is free and included in the iPad app with WorshipTeam.com and does not cost extra. Any WorshipTeam.com user can use this function.

bless you!
