The project is, as the Binions’ music and ministry have always been, a product of collaboration, creative excellence and decades of servant-leadership. And that is what listeners will hear woven through every track on Dwell, which features guest artists Tasha Cobbs Leonard, William McDowell, Travis Greene, BJ Putnam and the Binions’ 17-year-old daughter and fellow Integrity artist, MDSN (Madison Grace Binion).

Produced by David Binion and Daniel Lopez, Dwell offers songs penned by the Binions along with MDSN, Mitch Wong, Michael Farren, Krissy Nordhoff, Aaron Lindsey, Jacob Sooter and Josh DuFrene among others.

The Binions are passionate about bringing together people from all walks of life for the creative process and to simply soak in and respond to the presence of God. That longing for God’s presence and fellowship with one another permeates Dwell. Songs such as “My Soul Follows,” “Be Still and Know” and “Hunger” – the latter co-written by and featuring MDSN – speak to the almost visceral need for God in an age of disillusionment.

It is this longing in the hearts of Jesus-followers and this vision for making room for the Spirit to move that drives the Binions. Married for 24 years, the couple has been involved in ministry for over two decades, teaching and leading worship for churches and events around the world. Most recently, they founded Dwell Ministries to mentor and train a new generation of worship leaders, and they are planting Dwell Church in the Dallas area.

“To dwell in God’s presence is a state of the heart,” says David Binion. “It’s not about where you are physically… you can ‘dwell’ in the presence of God in church, at your desk, in your prayer closet, in your car. It’s about a hunger for the things of God and for His presence… the need to soak, be transformed and empowered to change our world.”

Integrity Music welcomes the Nashville, Tennessee-based collective Here Be Lions founded by pastor, worship leader and songwriter Dustin Smith (“God Who Moves The Mountains,” “Miracles”).

Here Be Lions takes its name from the ancient mapping tradition in which explorers marked unknown, dangerous territory with a symbol and the phrase “Here Be Lions.” Originally meant as a warning, the phrase has become a call for the Here Be Lions team to advance God’s kingdom and authority. They do so through focusing on discipleship, music and community with three ministry outreaches: Be Fierce, a discipleship resource for families, All About Worship, a worship resource for churches, and Healing Is Right, a resource for the sick and hurting.

The Here Be Lions worship team, including Smith, his wife Jeanna, James Galbraith, Jordan Clause, Jeremy Weedman and Garner McGregor, aspires to create music that welcomes the power and presence of God in expectation of salvation, healing and restoration. Only A Holy God delivers 12 songs of reverence and repentence written around the character of God and the forgiveness and wholeness found in Jesus.

Working with producer Jacob Sooter (Vertical Worship), Here Be Lions recorded the album live with guest vocalist Amanda Kinner and a small group of worshipers at Weston Barn near Kansas City, Missouri. Songwriters for the project include Smith, members of the HBL team and guest writers Sooter, Stu G (Delirious?), Joshua Silverberg (The Belonging) and Chris Quilala (Jesus Culture).

The 13-track album was penned by members of the LIFE Worship team, providing a musical snapshot of the teaching, spiritual formation and community found at LIFE, which is pastored by Steve and Charlotte Gambill.

Speak To The Storm takes its title and overarching theme from Mark 4:35-41 (“even the wind and the waves obey him”) says Pastor Charlotte Gambill: “We all have storms… the raging winds and waves that paralyze us. Loud lies of lightning and thunder that cast us in the shadows of fear and uncertainty. But everyone also has a voice, and our words have power.”

“With these songs, we hope to put words and melodies, statements of faith in your heart for when those storms come because the wind and waves obey only one name,” she adds. “And the same power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us!”
