Paul Baloche/Integrity Music single “Behold Him” on WorshipTeam

Paul Baloche has released “Behold Him” through Integrity Music and the song is now loaded into WorshipTeam.com “Behold Him” is a recording of a great new song

“I’m so happy to release ‘Behold Him,’” shares Baloche. “I’ve been leading it for the past few months now, everywhere from small worship gatherings to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in Scotland with a 500-voice choir and orchestra! Every time I worship with it, everyone starts to sing it immediately like they’ve known the song for years. In a day and age when busyness and distractions rule our lives, it’s essential to ‘Be still and behold Him’…to ponder and wonder with child-like anticipation. Psalm 46:10 says, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ I struggle with being in control, trying to force things to go the way that I think they should. There is much freedom in surrendering control – being still – and beholding God, acknowledging that He alone is God. He alone is worthy.”

Baloche hopes that “Behold Him,” which he co-wrote with Mitch Wong (Lincoln Brewster, Chris McClarney) will inspire hearts to worship and praise Jesus as well as give a sense of awe and wonder to the listener.

Well-known for penning contemporary hymns such as “Open the Eyes of My Heart,” “Above All,” “Your Name,” and “Hosanna,” Baloche’s songs have been recorded by many acclaimed artists including Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns, Matt Redman, and Philips, Craig & Dean. Also known for leading worship at conferences internationally and nationally, he has been sharing “Behold Him” with audiences worldwide.

It’s been 20 years since the release of “Open The Eyes of My Heart,” and Baloche feels the same now writing “Behold Him” as he did then. “It feels like the same heart cry – a desire to really see The Lord – to behold Him. I don’t want to miss what God is doing in my life and in this generation. I want to see Him, hear Him, and follow Him.”

He concludes, “It’s important to take our eyes off of ourselves and put them on Christ. We spend so much time preoccupied with every detail of our lives – trying to control everything. The message of this song comes from scripture, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ HE is God. We’re not.”

David Leonard/Integrity Music album “The Wait” on WorshipTeam

David Leonard has released “The Wait” through Integrity Music and all songs are now loaded into WorshipTeam.com “The Wait” is a studio recording of some great new songs.

In early 2017, singer, songwriter and worship leader David Leonard was in Los Angeles for a career pinnacle, walking the red carpet as a GRAMMY® Awards nominee for his work with acclaimed worship duo All Sons & Daughters. It was a professional high during a personal low for David who was struggling through a season of anxiety, depression and heartache amidst questions and unanswered prayers. Hoping for clarity, he headed out the next day on a solitary, soul-searching road trip home to Tennessee.

It was late into his first night and he was driving through the desolate Mojave Desert when he began to see a light in the distance. At first, he thought he was nearing a city but realized as he drove closer, it was the moon breaking over the horizon and heralding what would be a breakthrough for him. “I felt like God just threw on this big flashlight and said, ‘I see you’,” he recalls. “I immediately felt acknowledged and seen.”

What David had thought would take an entire journey, happened in the first night with that moment turning out to be the moment he was longing for. With still so many stops to make along the way and despite the still unanswered prayers, he was already filled with life. It was a welcome reprieve following a seemingly endless wait.

“Everybody says ‘you’ll find God in the Grand Canyon’… and I did,” he says of the cross-country trek. “It was a sweet time, but it was nothing like when He met me in the desert.”

Back home and with a renewed sense of peace, David set out to creatively remain in the background as he wrote and produced from his studio near Nashville and All Sons & Daughters ended their season of recording and touring together. All the while, he continued working through the issues that had plagued him, including the bitter road of infertility that he and his wife had been walking. Along the way, he noticed that his experiences were surfacing in the songs he was writing for other artists. And those songs had begun weaving together his own story of heartache and redemption that would eventually become The Wait (Integrity Music), his first solo album in an almost two-decade career.

“I started looking over all these songs I’d been writing with other people, and thought, ‘These are my songs,’” Leonard recalls of realizing he’d unintentionally penned the album. “I wrote this record feeling no pressure to have to create some grand thing. I just got to write and have fun and enjoy it; and then all of a sudden, I had a record. As a writer, it was a really freeing place.”

Sonically, the album is a departure from the organic, acoustic-driven melodies that made All Sons & Daughters so beloved. Instead, The Wait feels like a beautiful combination of all three of David’s previous bands – – Jackson Waters, NEEDTOBREATHE and All Sons & Daughters.

“I think it’s going to catch people off guard,” he admits, “and that’s a good thing. It would’ve been a lot easier if I’d just made another All Sons & Daughters record, sonically. There was that worry of thinking, ‘If you want to succeed, you should just do what you’ve been doing.’ But that didn’t feel right to me. I knew I needed to do what the record was calling for and go in a different direction. There’s a playful side to me and I’m excited for people to see it.”

Lyrically, The Wait doesn’t stray from the vulnerability of David’s previous work. If anything, the collection’s 13 tracks are even more transparent, the themes more universal—all born out of personal experience. “I’ve always been the kind of guy who’s not afraid to talk about the things he’s walking through,” he says. “I don’t know if this is a Sunday morning record… maybe it’s more of a weekday record. But it is for worshipers. It’s for anyone who’s been in that desert place looking for signs of life.”

Still, some of the songs have already resonated with David’s home congregation, Journey Church, as he’s led them on Sunday mornings. The confessional “Know Your Heart” seeks to fully explore the heart of God, while the Psalm-like “You Know Me” ponders how a perfect God could possibly love His fallible children.

Meanwhile, “I Will Wait” chronicles the Leonards’ battles with infertility. After many years of prayerful waiting, daughter Ella Kate was born. Then, the couple experienced more waiting and a devastating miscarriage before finally welcoming their newest addition, daughter River, whose name is joyfully written into the song’s second verse: “Oh, the burdens that I’ve carried. They are heavy, oh too heavy to hold. But there’s a River. There’s a sunrise. There’s a new day and it’s bringing new life.”

“It’s the struggle of the wait,” David says of the track. “Every month for four years was a constant letdown and disappointment and probably the hardest thing my wife and I had ever walked through.”

“Share The Burden” timestamps the moment the couple knew they needed help in the midst of their journey and speaks to the greater need for community by everyone, no matter the nature of our burdens. The couple set out to intentionally find others to support them through their never-ending grief, and that network of people made all the difference.

Like many prolific songs do, lead single “Threads” came at the eleventh hour. After the record was finished, a candid conversation over breakfast with fellow songwriters Ethan Hulse and Andrew Ripp, led to the birth of the textured track. “The idea was just the unraveling of who we are and who we think we should be and what God has for us,” David explains. “In the grand scheme of things, the more we can surrender, and the more we can turn ourselves off, the better. Our unraveling is spurred by fear; it’s spurred on by anxiety, but then it’s wrapped up in a love that casts out all those things.”

Jon Egan/Integrity Music album “Unveil” on WorshipTeam

Jon Egan has released “Unveil” through Integrity Music and all songs are now loaded into WorshipTeam.com “Unveil” is a live recording of some great new songs.

Egan, Who Has Chosen Faith Over Fear, Looks To Worship As The Way Through After Decades Of Anxiety Struggles.

“This album is for the weak because it was made by the weak, it’s for the broken because it was made by the broken.” Worship leader and songwriter Jon Egan has battled depression and anxiety for most of his life and knows firsthand what it means to bring a sacrifice of praise. With new album Unveil, through Integrity Music, the former lead singer of Desperation Band invites listeners to do the same, singing God’s promises over and through their own struggles.

Egan, a worship leader for New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been crafting songs of praise and worship for his own congregation and the global church for almost 20 years, including favorites “I Am Free,” “Overcome,” “Strong God,” “Make A Way” and “On The Throne.” Throughout that time, he has struggled with an internal war. In fact, it was an anxiety attack that inspired one of his new songs, “Everlasting Joy,” that Egan said he wrote as he “worshiped out of that situation.”

“Sometimes, I write what I most need to sing,” he says. “Worship is often a defiant act. It becomes a weapon to declare what you know will be, even if it isn’t yet… standing face-to-face with the fear and darkness but instead of describing what you see, you declare what you know, choosing faith over fear. It’s the singing and declaring of that truth that lifts you out of despair.”

The whole of Unveil is filled with a sense of joy from the “knowing” even in the most raw moments of worship and prayer found within the project’s 13 tracks, and amidst the sounds of weeping from Egan and his church family. Recorded live across a variety of services at New Life and the church’s 2018 Desperation youth conference, Unveil reveals a worship leader and a church reawakened to revival and alive to the promise found in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness…”.

“We made it live, we kept it live… much of the vocals are completely raw,” says Egan. “It is as it happened and it’s filled with ministry moments for worshipers and worship leaders alike. You’re hearing real people playing and singing, real people who are in their journey of the in-between, between death and resurrection, people who are in the waiting, in the groaning. People who can help others know they are not alone and that Jesus is there.”

“I hope this album helps my generation and those above me remember and helps a new generation to discover that worship can’t exist outside the cries of desperate people,” he continues. “It’s about the priesthood of all the believers raising up a song. And as worship leaders, it’s our responsibility to help give people their song back.”

In addition to “Everlasting Joy,” tracks such as “Be Strong,” “What You Said,” “The Table,” “This Changes Everything” and “Glorify” all point listeners to the promises of scripture and unveil a living God who is provider, refuge, healer and savior. The complete tracklist for Unveil, which includes guest cowriters Jacob Sooter, Jason Ingram, Mitch Wong, Chris McClarney and Mia Fieldes

Local Sound/Integrity Music single “Heartache” on WorshipTeam

Local Sound has released “Heartache” through Integrity Music and the song is now loaded into WorshipTeam.com “Heartache” is a recording of a great new song.

Founded and led by Jared Runion, the band Local Sound grew out of the Nashville, Tennessee, college and young adult ministry MyLocal615. Both the band and the MyLocal movement see themselves as culture creators who support the work of the local church in the lives of young adults.

The ‘local’ in Local Sound speaks to the roots of who the group is and why they do what they do. Runion explains: “We fully back God’s dream for The Local Church and we believe that God designed the local church as ‘plan A’—to immerse the world in His culture. We were never intended to be the products of temporary culture… we were made to be distributors of an eternal one.”

The “Sound” portion of the band’s name reflects the members’ heart and passion to unite the Word of God with high energy, innovative music that reaches the world. Runion and the Local Sound team believe that they have been called to spread the Gospel through relevant, inspiring and message-driven songs that express the joy found in a life fully devoted to Christ.

“We know our identity is found in the hope of Jesus Christ,” he explains. “And as key holders to the kingdom of heaven, we do whatever it takes to bring people to Jesus by glorifying God with all that we have.”

Casey J/Integrity Music album “The Gathering” on WorshipTeam

Casey J has released “The Gathering” through Integrity Music and all songs are now loaded into WorshipTeam.com “The Gathering” is a recording of some great new songs.

An Atlanta, Georgia-based worship leader and former elementary school teacher, Casey J (Hobbs) grew up in a house filled with God’s Word, watching as her grandmother hosted Bible studies and home church groups. That mantle for sharing the Gospel outside of traditional church settings now rests on Casey who began holding “pop up worship” events in public places. With vulnerability and joy, she shares Jesus through song, inviting others to join her in worship, no matter the location.
“It all started with the question, ‘What about the people who aren’t coming to church?’,” says Casey. “So God placed it in our hearts to just start popping up at local parks in Atlanta with one agenda: to gather people together and share God’s love using worship as our vehicle… we would pack up guitars, percussion instruments, and a few blankets and just sit in the grass and sing.”

“We started to see something beautiful… an intersection between the Church and those who we are called to serve that reached beyond just our Sunday experiences,” she continues. “From that grass grew a deep and solid purpose to create experiences that put all eyes on Him — both inside and outside of the church — and to write music that is the soundtrack to not only Sunday mornings on pews but Tuesday afternoons under the stars.”

It was in that missions-focused spirit that Casey recorded The Gathering live in the park-like setting of Serenbe just outside of Atlanta with a small group of worshipers. The resulting 10-track album captures the beauty and power of corporate worship in an unrestrained, organic form and with an eclectic style that mixes Gospel, Pop and Americana influences. The album opens with new single “The Gathering”, which serves as a call to worship and sets the tone for the entire project.

We have gathered here together / With one agenda / And it is You alone…
Come, we’re desperate / Hearts are open / Jesus come…
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done

Corey Voss & Madison Street Worship/Integrity Music album “Songs Of The House” on WorshipTeam

Corey Voss & Madison Street Worship has released “Songs Of The House” through Integrity Music and all songs are now loaded into WorshipTeam.com “Songs Of The House” is a live recording of some great new songs.

Worship pastor Corey Voss, the writer behind “I Got Saved” and “Praise The King” and voice behind the popular “God Who Moves The Mountains,” introduces his church creative team, Madison Street Worship, with the appropriately titled Songs Of The House

Songs Of The House delivers just that: new worship songs that reflect the revival happening at Gateway Shelbyville, a multi-generational, multi-cultural Tennessee congregation situated on the small town’s main thoroughfare of Madison Street. Combining themes of belonging, family, healing and freedom in Christ, Songs Of The House follows Songs Of Heaven & Earth.

For the 10-track Songs Of The House, listeners will hear not only Voss and team, but the congregation singing along as well with raw energy and joy. Perhaps it is because these are their songs birthed from and for the local church. It is a natural outflow of the songwriting culture developed by Voss and Gateway’s pastor, Jason Daughdrill.

In every track, listeners will hear a church reawakened and on fire. Only seven years ago, Gateway Shelbyville was struggling along with less than 60 people when Daughdrill stepped in as pastor. Shortly after, Voss joined the church and soon others began finding their way to what has become a booming community of over 1,000 members in rural, middle Tennessee.

“We feel like a family with God gathering us all together, from all over” says Daughdrill. “It’s humbling to see the grace of God carrying us through and raising up a movement of worshipers.”

Agreeing, Voss adds: “Humbling and beautiful… to watch Him carrying us through hard seasons, into growth and revival. And all of that has been written into these songs.”

“The local church is where songs should start,” says Voss. “Doing life together, knowing one another. Our filters are, ‘what do our people need to sing?’ and ‘what is going to lift them up and help them encounter God?’. Our prayer is that others will connect to them as well.”
