This Joy is our brand-new album, recorded live in Chicago. This eclectic mix of new worship songs was written by Vineyard leaders, for the Church. From the upbeat and energetic title track “This Joy,” to the tender beauty of “Padre Nuestro,” (the Lord’s Prayer) written intentionally in both Spanish and English, each song serves an intentional purpose for the sake of the Church.

Featuring 9 worship leaders from around the US, this album blends a wide range of influences, from gospel to pop to modern hymns, and is a small taste of the beauty and diversity within the Vineyard movement.

The title track, featuring Tina Colón Williams and Joshua Miller, is a song of victory, declaring that the voice of the accuser will not have the final say. We are waking up to love, hope, and peace, because we serve a God who is stronger than any circumstance.

A beautiful addition to the catalogue of songs from Vineyard Worship and Vineyard Soul, “Eternal Light” is a new, gospel-forward single released in partnership with Heaven and Earth, a group of writers and worship leaders from Vineyard Columbus church. Written by Vineyard worship pastor and songwriter Joshua Miller, along with Integrity Music writers Paul Zach and Kate Bluett, the collaboration on this new single carries the weight and assurance of lives spent dependent on the Lord.

It is a song of truth that focuses our eyes on our Eternal Light – giver of Hope, Peace and Love. The lyrics provide a soulful, upbeat meditation on the steadiness of God

“You are the same yesterday, today, forever,
You never change, you have no beginning
and you have no end”

and a prayerful petition to be anchored in everlasting truth:

“2020… A year we won’t quickly forget. In troubled times we start to realize that we need ongoing connection to the Living God more than ever before. MY HOPE HAS COME chronicles the worship journey of the Vineyard creative community through this challenging time.

On the first Friday of every month new music is released from within our global creative Vineyard Worship community. MY HOPE HAS COME is a compilation of our monthly singles from 2020 featuring both the STUDIO and LIVE versions. Featuring important new songs such as the vibrant, Latin gospel-flavored “Familia” and “God of Rest (Dios Del Descanso)”, both originally penned in both Spanish and English, to the prophetically-birthed “Sons And Daughters” born from one of our large group worship circles in Cannon Beach, OR back in 2019. Songs such as “Familia”, “The Hidden Place”, and “You Speak” are first fruits of the new partnership with the historic worship ministry Integrity Music. So much more to come here.

“Cherry Blossoms” is Vineyard Worship’s long-awaited monthly single for April 2020. Written by worship leader and songwriter Andy Squyres, “Cherry Blossoms” is a song of immense hope that has been an underground phenomenon since its release in 2015.

“Cherry Blossoms is an autobiography,” says Squyres. “The genesis of the song is rooted in tragedy. My church at the time was in the middle of an incredible move of God and then out of nowhere we found ourselves plummeted to the depths of great sorrow. A dear friend was murdered in his home in the middle of the night. It tore us to pieces. All of our strength was gone and our hope was challenged in ways we never could have imagined. The song is my response in the aftermath of that tragedy.”

For this significant song, Vineyard Worship is releasing two versions in two distinct styles. The first will be the studio version featuring the voice of Emmy-nominated Daena Jay with colors of pop-country, Sheryl Crow, and Maren Morris. This buoyant version brings a new lift to this powerful song. The second will be a live version featuring the soul and modern gospel flavor of Vineyard Worship’s Joshua Miller, reminiscent of United Pursuit, Common Hymnal, and Allen Stone.

“You’re Carrying Me” was written by songwriter, Casey Corum (and friend Kris MacQueen), after experiencing an unexpected end to his role as a senior worship pastor. In the ensuing season, Casey had the distinct sense that the Lord was not only carrying him and his family through the difficult time, but that the Lord was also running into a new future. Written in response to this deep sense, “You’re Carrying Me” carries the tangible immediacy of that season in its essence. Powerful vocals provided by Joshua Miller from Desert Vineyard Church in Lancaster, California help bring this hopeful song home.

The Vineyard Worship new monthly single launches with “All The Same”, penned by Terry Butler (This Is Love, Cry of My Heart) and his nephew, Byron Aram. Recorded at Anchour Studio in Maine and led by Joshua Miller (We Are Hungry, You Have Set Me Free), “All The Same” comes with a toolkit of resources -tutorials on various instruments, multitrack stems, as
well as a live-in-studio video of the song. “The lyrics to this song were inspired by my own feeling of inconsistencies/sin. God was pouring out His love instead of judgment, and my eyes opened to how He sees us ALL and how His love stretches ‘round the world. This is His message to the world… God saying, THIS is who I am.”

Writer, Terry Butler talks about the lyrics from his new song, “All The Same”, which he penned with his nephew, Byron Aram. “A couple hours after I sent Byron the lyrics, God gave him the full melody and chords and we didn’t change a thing.”
